The surface to be painted must be cleaned of grease, dirt, dust, and roughness through mechanical methods, and any areas requiring repair must be fixed. Old painted or wallpapered surfaces; should be primed with a suitable transitional primer. Surfaces with high dusting characters should be primed with Aaton fixup or Gypsum Putty Primer, and dark or repaired surfaces should be primed with Silicone fixAstar, allowing for a minimum of 8 hours drying time.

Application:

The silicone silk matte interior wall paint should be diluted by 15-20% by volume and applied in two coats with a brush or roller. The waiting time between coats should be at least 6 hours. It must be ensured that the ambient temperature for application is above 5°C.

Applicable Surfaces:

Can be safely used as a final coat over newly painted mineral-based interior walls and ceilings, previously painted surfaces, plaster, putty, fiber glass reinforcement, drywall, betopan, OSB, and wallpaper after appropriate priming.

Application:

The surfaces should be clean, dry, even, solid, and capable of supporting the paint. All surfaces should be cleaned of dust, grease, oil, and loose materials before necessary surface smoothing. Adhering to setting times is essential for concrete, raw concrete, and newly plastered surfaces (28 days). For previously painted surfaces, sanding must be done before primer application. If the old paint is solvent-based, FKUP Transition Primer should be applied after sanding. Tempo Universal Primer should be used for new plastered surfaces. Porous and dusting surfaces such as plaster or lime must be primed with a single coat of diluted Tempo Binder (1/10 dilution) prior to painting to avoid forming a flammable film layer on the surface. The application temperature must be maintained between +5 °C and +30 °C. Application by brush, roller, or spray is possible. Our products must be applied to infrastructure surfaces that comply with the General Technical Specifications for Construction published on June 30, 2007 with reference number 26568. Airless Spraying: Pressure: 140 bar; Nozzle Angle: 50°; Nozzle Size (inch): 0.019”; Dilution (Water): 10-15% (by volume).

Dilution Rate:

Should be diluted with clean water by 15-20%. In airless spraying, it should be diluted by 10-15% with clean water. Can be applied in a single coat, provided sufficient film thickness is obtained.

Drying Times (at 20°C, RH: 65%):

• Initial drying: 60 minutes
• Second coat application: 5-6 hours
• Final drying: 24 hours (drying times may extend under high relative humidity and low temperatures).

Consumption:

1 KG paints an area of 6.5-10 m² in a single coat. A controlled sampling study should be done to determine exact consumption.

Storage:

Can be stored in its unopened package in a cool and dry place, protected from frost and direct sunlight for 3 years.
